Why Pendulo

What makes the difference

Watch repair is only as good as the honesty behind it. Here's what Pendulo brings to every piece that comes through the door.

At a glance

Six reasons to bring your watch to us

No surprise costs

Every service has a stated price. You agree to the cost before we begin. Nothing is added without discussion.

Owner approval required

We assess first and share findings before touching the movement. Work only proceeds with your agreement.

Heirloom expertise

We work on watches that have been in families for decades — with patience, proper tools, and preservation as the aim.

Crystal choice matters

We source acrylic, mineral, and sapphire crystals and explain the difference clearly so you choose what suits the watch.

Written service records

Heirloom services come with detailed notes you can pass on. A record of what was done, when, and why.

Rate confirmed before return

Every movement service ends with a timekeeping check. The watch is running correctly before it leaves the bench.

Expertise

Fifteen years inside movements

Watch repair is learned over years, not weeks. The founder of Pendulo has spent fifteen years working specifically on mechanical and quartz movements — studying not just how they function, but how they fail, and what careful intervention looks like at each point.

That experience informs every assessment. We recognise what's normal wear, what indicates a specific problem, and when a movement has been worked on before in ways that affect the current service.

  • Mechanical and quartz movement experience
  • Calibre-specific tools, not generic substitutes
  • Correct lubricants applied to each surface type
  • Heirloom movements handled with staged approval

  • Prices listed per service — ฿3,900 / ฿6,500 / ฿10,500
  • Cost agreed before any work begins
  • Additional work discussed and priced separately
  • No adjustments made after the fact

Pricing

Costs you know before you leave

Watch repair can be an industry where the bill arrives after the work. We don't operate that way. Each service has a price posted clearly, and that's what you pay.

If inspection reveals that a piece needs work beyond the original service scope — a worn part, a damaged jewel — we'll stop, tell you what we've found, and quote the additional cost. You decide whether to proceed.

Customer care

Plain communication, at every stage

We don't use technical language to obscure what we're doing. When we assess your watch, we explain what we've found in ordinary terms. When we return it, we explain what was done.

If you have questions during the service period, we answer them directly. You can call or message — and you'll speak to someone who knows where your watch is in the process.

  • Assessment findings shared before work begins
  • Questions answered by someone who knows the job
  • Return explained clearly — what was done and why
  • No jargon unless you want the technical detail

What sets us apart

Things you won't find everywhere

Staged heirloom service with sign-off

Our Family Heirloom Service works in stages — we stop and share what we've found before any change of character is made. No other step proceeds without your approval. This is uncommon in the repair trade.

Three crystal material options, explained

Most shops fit whatever is available. We stock acrylic, mineral, and sapphire, and we explain the properties of each before you choose. The right crystal depends on the watch, your use, and your preference.

Service notes for future reference

Heirloom service returns include written notes on what was done. These become part of the watch's history — useful for whoever services it next, or whoever inherits it.

Preservation over transformation

We don't push cosmetic work. If a dial has aged in an interesting way, we leave it. If a case has honest marks, we don't polish them out unless asked. The aim is a watch that runs well, not one that looks newly bought.
