The same process, every time
Whatever brings a watch to us — a movement that's running slow, a chipped crystal, or a piece that hasn't been touched in thirty years — we follow the same sequence. Assess first, share findings, wait for agreement, then work.
This keeps the owner involved and prevents surprises. It also means we never do work that wasn't asked for.

Service 01
Cleaning & Lubrication
A standard service for healthy movements that simply need fresh oils and a clean. We disassemble the movement completely, clean each part, lubricate to the correct specification for each surface, and reassemble. The watch is then run to confirm timekeeping before return.
This is a maintenance visit — appropriate when a watch is running but hasn't been serviced in several years, or when rate accuracy has declined. It's not a repair; it's upkeep.

Service 02
Crystal Replacement
Sourcing and fitting a new crystal in acrylic, mineral, or sapphire to match the watch and your preference. We seal the new crystal properly and confirm a clean fit against the bezel before the watch is returned.
The right crystal depends on several factors: the original specification of the watch, how it's worn, and whether you value scratch resistance or ease of polishing. We walk you through the options and let you decide.

Service 03
Family Heirloom Service
A patient, staged service for sentimental watches passed down through a family, with preservation as the guiding aim. We cover movement work and gentle cosmetic care, with your sign-off before any change of character. The piece is returned with detailed notes for your records.
This service takes longer than a standard clean, because it involves more communication and more care. Parts may need sourcing. Some decisions may take time. We think that's appropriate for a watch that matters.

Technical standards we follow
Calibre-matched tooling
We use tools sized and shaped for the specific movement type — not adaptors or generics that can strip screws or damage plates.
Point-specific lubrication
Different surfaces require different oils. Escapements, jewels, gear trains, and mainsprings each receive the appropriate lubricant.
Safe storage during service
All pieces are labelled and stored away from dust and humidity. We account for each watch at all times during its stay.
